Kathryn Murphy
President
Kathy, President of Sterling Partners, LLC. brings over 25 years of experience in executive search, leadership development and career coaching, specializing in consumer products/retail, financial services and not-for-profit. Her clients range from start-ups to Fortune 100 companies, nonprofit organizations, as well as candidates seeking career advisory services.
Prior to Sterling Partners, Kathy was a Managing Director with Gilbert Tweed International, a retained executive search firm, working out of the New York, NY and Washington, DC locations. Before entering executive search, she was Director of Human Resources at Tiffany & Co., where she was responsible for global talent acquisition and leadership development. She also held management positions in human resources with Prudential Securities.
Kathy is a member of the Washington Women’s Leadership Initiative and a volunteer career coach with Career Network Ministry. She is a frequent presenter and speaker on talent solutions and successful job search strategies. Previously, Kathy was a board member of the National Center of Missing and Exploited Children (NYC). She holds a B.A. in Economics from Hunter College.

Colleen Benedict
Vice President
Colleen serves as Vice President out of our New York office, where she is a member of the consumer products, nonprofit and financial services practices.
Prior to joining Sterling Partners, Colleen worked at The Blackstone Group for six years, where she served in human resources and administrative roles, supporting the Hedge Fund Solutions division. She participated throughout the recruiting lifecycle, interviewed and assessed potential new hires and assisted with the onboarding of new team members. Early in her career, Colleen served as a summer intern in executive search, where she conducted research and candidate development to support the consumer products practice.
Colleen holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Theatre from the State University of New York, Fredonia.
